About GIFFIN'TERMEER: In 2003 Jess Giffin & Jim TerMeer began collaborating on a series of small design projects that draw as much from art as from design, privileges concept, the everyday experience of products and small-scale production. They live and work in Concord, New Hampshire, USA.

Jess brings an artists perspective to design. Central to her work is an engagement with cultural issues and conceptual art. Jess holds a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute and an MFA in Print Media from the Cranbrook Academy of Art.

Jim uses a decade’s worth of experience as an industrial designer for technology products as both technical foundation and reactive catalyst for his current work. Jim holds a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute and an MA in design (2002) from the Design Academy Eindhoven.
